I Want You poster image

Originally published as the cover for the July 6, 1916, issue of Leslie's Weekly with the title "What Are You Doing for Preparedness?" this portrait of "Uncle Sam" went on to become--according to its creator, James Montgomery Flagg--"the most famous poster in the world."

Yes, this is an over-the-top, all-American 4th of July Challenge, but we want to encourage non-U.S. crafters to leap those national borders and join in the fun. C'mon all of our UK friends like Helen, Marcie, Sean, Pamela - throw some tea in your bathtub and shout "Yes to taxation without representation" and then get out the red, white and blue and make something Yank!
