Lyneen Jesse: For Easter, Vintage Image Craft challenged us to make Easter containers! For this challenge I decided to incorporate recycling. On my blog you will find step by step tutorial with pictures of my project.
To start print duplicates of several of the images Vintage Image Craft provided.
Using Sakura Crystal Lacquer stiffen some of the pieces that will be layered with foam tape.
Collect several sizes of tin cans... wash them thoroughly, dry! Make sure the rims are safe from any rough edges. Cover the outside and inside of tin cans with pattern papers using Miracle Tape to adhere... the papers used are old from my stash.
Punch holes (used Crop-a-dile) for handles. Be sure to punch the holes before adding any embellishments. Glue decorative pearls to the top rim and bottom of the cans, let dry.
Added wire handles on the containers. On each end wrap the wire put up the handle. Add a piece of wire wrapped around the top of the handle.
Add images to containers with Miracle Tape and foam tape. Tie ribbons on the handles and greeting tags if the image on the container doesn't have one!
Add Easter grass and candy, now you have Easter Tins ready for gift giving!!
