Grandma's Pride

Maxine: The materials I used were:

Think of Me Valentine from VIC Facebook page
Vintage doily
Old earring dangle
Vintage sheet music
Pink ink
Glossy Accents
African Gold embossing powder
Gold glitter
Red Cardstock
Ribbon
Glue
Double sided tape

I replaced the face on the original postcard with my granddaughter's face and then edged the postcard with African gold glitter. The postcard was layered over a red paper valentine heart that I embossed with a clear image of a dove. Under those two layers is a piece of an old crocheted doily. Along the side of the postcard I attached a vintage earring dangle that consists of small pale pink & blue flowers and a white heart drop.

I made a medallion from vintage sheet music. The medallion was dusted lightly with pink ink to highlight the edges. I then glued the top layers to the medallion and drizzled Glossy Accents and a small amount of gold glitter to the sheet music fan (the sheet music is old and fragile and the dazzling diamonds added stability and a nice shiny glaze to it.)Lastly I folded a piece of red ribbon in half and taped it to the back of the ornament.
