Justine's Baby - collage card
The "Joys" of Motherhood
This image reminds me of just how far past the baby stages I have come. Am I ever grateful that I do not have to deal with teething. The baby image was a Freebie that was given out over on the Vintage Image Craft's Face Book page. Aren't the colors soft and creamy looking? I've paired the image with a few images that I found via the internet. The larger label was dry embossed using a Cuttlebug folder. I created the teething powder label by printing the image, cutting it out and mounting it on a circle that I had punched. I used a 1/8" hole punch then found a fiber that had been used on a new garment tag to tie it around the Bow. I create Home Made Ribbon by cutting strips of scrap cloth. Sometimes I use tea, coffee, food coloring or liquid ink refill drops to dye my cloth. I distress all of my pieces by using my fingernail to rough up the edges then I ink them with a foam sponge.
The sentiment on the inside was generated using Microsoft Word. Sentiment Reads: "It kills you to see them grow up. but I guess it would kill you quicker if they didn't..."
I love that I found a crumbled up blue ribbon that I used instead of thread for my wooden button....
Finished card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".
