Merry Catmas Ornament

I altered an Echo Park sheet music from the Merry Christmas digital collection to black & white, 6x6. I adhered it to a piece of chipboard. Using a coloring page from Coloring Castle, I printed a star shape at 75% for a pattern. After trimming the star shape, I used it as a pattern on the sheet music/chipboard combination. I distressed the star edges with a sepia-colored Ranger Archival Ink pad.

I adhered vintage tinsel around the edge of the star with Amazing Goop, leaving a loop at the top of the star for hanging.

I printed the cat postcard image at 4x6 and hand cut it into an oval. Next I printed out a piece of the Echo Park red background paper at 4x4 onto card stock. I tore the edges of the mat around the image.

Using the sepia ink, I distressed the edges of both the image and background paper before adhering the two. I took a piece of ecru-colored gathered lace and adhered it with Miracle Tape to the back of the matted cat image.

I adhered the cat image to the center of the star with Amazing Goop and embellished with Prima flowers and leaves.
